If so, Turnpike Auto Parts is accepting applications for a full-time experienced Auto Dismantler/Mechanic Job Summary: The Dismantler is responsible for properly removing inventoried auto parts and usable core parts in a safe, environmentally cautious and efficient manner. The dismantlers work is mostly conducted in a heated shop environment on a two post lift. Essential Functions: Dismantle vehicles within the suggested time constraints in a safety conscious manner. Remove & inspect drive train – to include motor, transmission, transfer case & drive axles. Remove & inspect wheels, suspensions, subframes and fuel tanks. Test for function & utility. Safely recover all fluids. Separate motor from transmission and remove small parts (alternator, starter, power steering pump, etc). Label and tag parts to be placed into stock. Verify the quality and effectively communicate condition of parts. Keep working environment safe and clean for other team members. Job Requirements: Must have own tools. Valid Drivers License. Excellent team player. Attention to detail. Self motivated with ability to take direction. Basic computer skills with auto parts knowledge. Ability to prioritize assignments and problem solve. Forklift experience. Ability to do physical labor and lift at least 75 lbs. Must be dependable and on time. Must be able to pass a background check and drug testing.
