Job Description: General Property Field Technician The Field Technician is responsible for maintaining and upgrading commercial property as instructed via work orders approved by Property Managers. The Field Technician will: • Possess the ability to operate a motor vehicle for the purpose of visiting job sites and client buildings. • Be responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned. • Process paperwork upon the completing of each job including time and expense tracking. • Complete payroll time sheets and mileage reimbursement and submit to supervisor. • Responsible for alerting the Property Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that may have taken place or that may occur. • Maintain a professional courteous manner with all tenants, vendors, clients, and fellow employees. • Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines. • Ensure compliance of all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner. • Always looks for opportunities to expand the range of services we provide on each site including asphalt repair and general property maintenance. • Communicate safety issues to our staff and vendors; communicates liability issues to our clients. • Ensure that equipment and supplies are maintained in a safe, operable/usable condition and/or arrange for their replacement. • Ensure the proper use and care of company vehicles, supplies, and equipment. The Wrigs General Property Field Technician possesses: • A valid driver’s license. • Considerable knowledge of construction and practices and procedures.(Drywall, Framing, Painting) • Considerable knowledge of maintenance and repair work. • Thorough knowledge of proper safety techniques and procedures. • Skill in the operation of hand tools and equipment common to the building trades. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. • Ability to work with co-workers and clients. • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written. • A polished, professional, put-together demeanor. • Confidence, ambition, self-motivation and the ability to work independently. • Problem-solving skills; keen listening skills. Physical Demands The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, talk or hear, and use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls. • The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50lbs and on rare occasions more than 100lbs. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
