A Serious Question

So here is the original post: People who refuse to take part in COVID-19 prevention It's truly a no-brainer. Getting vaccinated is for the health of the individual, the good of society, and to try to get our world BACK TO NORMAL. People who refuse, do not belong among the rest of us. And people who refuse to wear masks? It's a safe bet that these are the same yahoos who don't wash their hands after taking a dump. Of course, this statement (and many like it) makes "thinking" people want some questions answered. For instance: IF vaccines are effective then why would masks be required? IF the vaccine isn't effective then why take it? Masks are proven to actually cause MORE issues from the continued prolong use. Masks weaken immune systems. I have to laugh when I see someone driving alone all masked up, or someone wearing a mask when there is no one anywhere close. These "germ-a-phobes" are actually weakening their own immune systems are more likely to actually contract covid. The sad reality is that the world won't be returning to NORMAL. This unfortunately will be the norm. We're being conditioned to believe (and we have all heard the term) that this IS the new normal. They'd also like you to believe that wanting our constitutional rights is selfish. IF covid was as deadly as we are being led to believe then there should be bodies of homeless stacked in the streets. There isn't. In fact, the homeless community is thriving in Portland. A drive around Portland will prove that there is no shortage of homeless. How can that be? Homeless aren't social distancing, not masking, and certainly not living in sanitary conditions. With what we've been told, the homeless population should be decimated. It isn't. Hmm, how is that possible? The fact that they live in filth and squalor has actually made their immune system stronger than those living in homes. Probably the scariest statement made by the original poster is: "People who refuse, do not belong among the rest of us." That sounds a lot like the rhetoric used in Germany in the 20's and 30's to demonize the Jews. My statement to this poster would be this, no one is keeping you from being vaccinated or wearing your mask. That is YOUR right to do so. If you honestly think that keeps you safe, then knock yourself out. You should be safe from those that don't buy into the covid narrative. Should it prove to be so deadly as you believe then you should be happy that those who aren't buying it will all be dead shortly. If your "safety measures" aren't keeping you safe, then maybe you should back up and rethink. As for myself, I fall into the "high risk" category due to age and underlying medical issues. I don't wear a mask for fear of covid but because of the wackos that have attacked people in stores. That is the only time I wear a mask. So 95% of the time I'm maskless. I'm going to pass on the vaccine, although it is available to me. Sorry, I don't like being a guinea pig for big pharma. Maybe after these vaccines have been around a few years, maybe. I have lived my life as close to normal as possible as I refuse to live my life in fear. Sadly one of the biggest issues we face in this country today is the fact that the vast majority don't mind their own business. Oppressive government with "narc-on-your-neighbor" numbers aren't saving us. It is dividing us. As I've said, you live your life your way. Don't worry about mine.
