Description

We are in the process of contacting multiple shelters, but would also be open to directly re-homing our two big dogs. They are a bonded pair, but likely will be adopted separately. Bones is 6 years old, and an unknown mixed breed/mutt. He is neutered. No vet records; last rabies vaccination in 2018. As a puppy he was found on a hot riverbank nearly starved to death. He bounced back and is an energetic boy with a lot of quirks. He has food security issues and is fed separately and in a special maze bowl to slow him down. He tries really hard to be a good boy but will take a human with lots of patience and forgiveness. He is often wary of women and would be best in a home without kids. He could use basic obedience training. Spock (or Spot) is 5 years old, born March of 2016. He is 1/2 Alaskan Malamute, 1/4 husky and 1/4 lab. He is neutered. No vet records available; last rabies vaccination in 2018. Spock is very gentle when taking treats, and gentle to humans in general. He tends to be very good on a leash at least on his familiar walking route. He is an escape artist and needs a securely fenced yard. He has a strong prey drive especially for opossum and he has caught several in our yard. He and Bones also went after one of our cats in the back yard but were stopped before harm was done. Looking for kind patient forever homes for our dogs. It is not an easy decision to re home but they need far more time and attention than we are able to provide. Each dog would come with his leash, harness, food dish and igloo dog house. Serious inquiries only please. Contact by email.
