A Bethel, Connecticut-based testing laboratory is currently looking for experienced Construction Field Inspectors to provide scheduled inspection services on various construction job sites in the Connecticut and New York areas. As an Inspector, you will work closely with project superintendents to inspect the different phases of construction and to identify any discrepancies as necessary. This will include, but is not limited to, assessment and inspection of soil compaction, concrete placement inspections, masonry inspections, and reinforcing inspections, plus other types of inspections as needed. You will also be required to provide daily inspection reports and work closely with office staff on scheduling and reporting. This position includes On-The-Job Training. Certifications (as outlined below) are a very big plus but not required and will be provided as necessary. Please indicate availability and city of residence when applying for this position. Job Requirements: -Minimum education of a high-school diploma, college a plus -Experience in the construction testing industry -Good written and oral communication skills -Ability to work well with staff and clients in a professional manner -Ability to handle multiple tasks -A valid driver’s license and have daily access to a reliable vehicle -The ability to lift and carry in excess of 65 pounds Certifications a plus: OSHA, Nuclear Gauge Safety, ACI, NETTCP (Soils, Concrete, Asphalt), NICET II & III Job Type: Full-time
