Bradford Shawsheen Coating Technologies seeks a Machine Operator to join their team in Andover, MA. As Machine Operator, you will help perform the necessary duties to run a coating machine. Coating is the application of water and solvent-based adhesives to fabric, paper, foam, and film substrates to produce a dried, finished, coated product. RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist loading and operating the machine per the operating instructions * Assist in coating to meet or exceed targeted production rates * Assist in coating to product and quality assurance requirements * Identify and communicate any processing or quality problems to the Machine Operator * Identify and communicate any machine problems to the Machine Operator * Continuously monitor and adjust coat weight based on monitor read-out and visual observations in order to meet specifications * Monitor and adjust end dams to maintain optimal coating width * Monitor adhesive pumps; load full drums of adhesive into pumps and remove empty drums when complete * Assist with fabric and liner loading at unwind stands at the coating station * Assist with splicing and sewing of fabrics and liners at unwind stands at the coating station * Communicate with Machine Operator and Machine Assistants via the buzzer system * Assist Machine Operator whenever required * Maintain a high level of housekeeping at the coating station and the surrounding areas of the Coating Room * Re-assignment to any other job or machine for which you have accepted training * Follow all safety and environmental rules, requirements, and procedures as established in the facility * Wear safety equipment (steel-toed shoes and safety glasses) during machine operation * Other duties as needed SCHEDULE This is a full-time position working 6:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday (40 hours regular pay and 10 hours OT pay).  COMPENSATION Starting wage dependent on knowledge and experience. QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum of 2 years machine operator experience * Experience in coating or finishing paper and textiles * High school diploma or equivalent is preferred * Willingness to work 10-hour shifts * Ability to stand for long periods of time * Ability to bend, kneel and lift and/or carry weight up to 50 pounds * Ability to pass basic math and English tests * Excellent verbal and written communication skill * Ability to perform job function utilizing written procedures, verbal instructions, and visual aids * Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment * On the job training provided APPLY ONLINE AT bsct.hirescore.com No phone calls or walk-ins, please.
