HORTICULTURAL TECHNICAN Qualifications • US work authorization (Required) • High school or equivalent (Preferred) • Interior Plant & Landscaping: 1 year (Preferred) • English (Preferred) • Driver's License and Reliable Vehicle (Required)-Mileage Reimbursement • Must Drive or Walk to Various locations on assigned route • Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous • People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on individual & group projects • Good Communication Skills Full Job Description • Valid Driver's License or reliable transportation to Boston and Surrounding Areas • Reimbursement for Mileage • Help install interior plants in offices and lobby • Delivery of Plants and Materials to Clients • Seasonal plantings in large planters, hanging planters, window boxes on city streets, plaza, rooftop, courtyards and exterior areas • Work closely with Managers watch and learn how to work with team members - people to plant flowers Spring, Summer and Fall, and decorative Winter plantings • Plant maintenance at Metro West/Boston/Cambridge job sites to water, prune, deadhead and monitor all plantings (hand watering with water cart) • Know/learn names of annuals, perennials, shrubs, and tropical plants • Holiday design services (interior & exterior) What we are looking for: • Energetic, self-starters that like to “stay busy” • Ability to Work Independently • Landscaping/Gardening experience/ Delivery Experience • Ability to lift 30 lb bags and able to be on feet • 2+ years’ experience preferred, but we will train • Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance • Part-time (M-F) schedule may vary • Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour • COVID-19 considerations: For the safety of all crew members, we require face masks and daily health checks for sanitization and health monitoring. • Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous • People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on individual & group projects • Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys
