Home seamstress needed for small costuming/clothing business. Sewing experience is a must, 'mass' production experience helpful. Sewing skills must meet our standards of quality. Mostly cotton fabrics for garments, but sometimes will work in finer fabrics. Decent buttonholes a must. Can provide some training if needed. We will provide cut pieces, threads, and all other materials. You must have your own straight/zig-zag stitch machine and serger. Work your own hours, part-time is ok. The amount of available work will fluctuate per week, there is no set amount per week and the work is seasonal (we are heading into our busy season though, so lots to do). Pay is per piece, based on $13 per hour to start. (higher pay for experience with finer fabrics or experience with historical garments) Must be able to pick up work once a week on a weekday in Peabody, MA. Must be able to read and write in English, directions are in English. You will be hired as an Independent Contractor.
