Independent Tire and Auto Service is looking experienced Service Technicians to be a part of the team. We are a locally owned auto mechanic shop with a small number of employees. We work 6 days a week: Monday - Friday: 8am-5pm w/ a 1-hour lunch, Saturday: 8am-3pm w/ a 20-minute lunch. Job Responsibilities: - Arrive at a timely manner ready and motivated to work and improve skills. - Have a professional attitude towards customers and staff. - Maintain a clean and safe work area. As a General Line Automotive Technician (Automotive Mechanic), you will be experienced and be familiar with common automotive technologies. We are looking for someone with the following requirements: - Be certified to be a North Carolina Inspector. - Hold a valid driver’s license. - Own your own tools and equipment. - Working knowledge of auto shop equipment such as wheel balancer and tire changer, brake lathe machine. - Able to do simple tasks like oil changes, changing brakes, installing new windshield wipers, replacing lights and another basic services.
