Black and gray tabby

Tonight, I watched a gray and black striped large tabby cat dart into traffic and get hit by a car. I swung around to check on the cat; he/she was still alive while the driver went off. This was on HWY 99 and near 104th St. - I was going north bound; the old abandoned Chinese diner was up ahead and on my left (West). This was around 8pm on 4/8/21 If you were the human parent of the cat, I need you to know your cat was still alive when I came to him. I stayed with him until he passed. I wrapped him in a towel I had in my trunk and held him until he was no longer breathing. He (she) would have passed before I would have made it to a vet and rather than leave him there in his final moments, scared, I opted to hold him close and tell him everything would be ok while putting his head; I promised him I wouldn’t just leave him on the road. There are many homes, trailers, apartments, etc., in that small area...he looked well kept and fed. I promise you he wasn’t alone at the end...there was nothing that could have been done. I buried him and said a few words...I didn’t feel right putting him in a dumpster. Please, if you’re reading this, hug your furry loved ones close and please keep them away from the busy streets.
