IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST Sakuma Bros. is part of the family-owned farming and processing operation spanning four generations with over 85 years of experience in the small fruit industry. Home based in Burlington, WA, the company is located in the premier berry growing area of the Pacific Northwest. The berry processing operations engages in packing, marketing, sales, and distribution of fresh and frozen berries grown by the Sakuma family as well as many area growers, for both the domestic and international markets. We are seeking a full time IT Support Specialist to join our team! This position will begin as a full-time temporary specialist through September but may become a regular full-time position for the right person! RESPONSIBILITIES: • Works with end users and addresses their IT support needs. • Ensures that end users’ workstations are stable and configured with accepted IT best practices. • Physical delivery and pickup of equipment in and around the multiple buildings supported. • Assists in software management, deployments and audits. • Assists in special projects as directed. • Hardware & software used: Samsung, iPhone & iPad, HP Thin clients, Xerox, HP, Zebra printers and Data Max, Windows 10, Server 2016-2019, Office 365 and associated apps and services, VoIP, PoE, Wi-Fi, POS, etc. • This is a multi-role position with a strong emphasis on information technology skills, technical problem-solving abilities, and hands-on technical work • Assists users with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines. • Interacts with customers and other departments in support roles to understand the client processes in both office and manufacturing environments. • Actively troubleshoots a variety of technical problems, escalating to appropriate department manager as required. • Actively follow-up and collaborate with plant operations to determine the root cause of reported issues. REQUIREMENTS: • High school or equivalent (Preferred) • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. • Desktop hardware & software • Networking equipment including switches, firewalls, routers, UPS and access points • Experience with Windows operating system Win 10 and Patching of Win10 • Windows Server 2016 - 2019 • Microsoft Office 365 support • Available to work extended hours and weekends when necessary. • Experience with virtualization is a plus. • Network administration is a plus. • Experience and understanding of AD and GP • Build and terminate Cat5 cable. • Basic troubleshooting of TCP/IP networks using ping, Wireshark, traceroute • Preferably have worked in the IT services industry for a minimum of 2 years. • Understanding of windows networking and TCP/IP networking. • Ability to multi-task and possess strong organizational skills. • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to solve complex issues. • Strong end user interaction and follow-up skills. • Ability to use good judgment to effectively prioritize work. • Accuracy in data entry. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
