The Scholarship Golf Tournament is a fundraiser that draws fraternity brothers, corporate partners, and golf enthusiasts together. The 11th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament is a fundraiser that draws fraternity brothers, corporate sponsors, business associates and golf enthusiasts together in the name of education.  The funds generated from this event supports the Alpha Merit Group, Incorporated, established in 1964.  The program is a component of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated’s Alpha Sigma Lambda chapter’s mentorship program. Since its inception, the program has mentored over 15,000 boys and has provided over $100,000 in scholarships. The structured program is designed to enhance leadership skills, promote academic excellence and broaden social skills of African American males from the 5th – 12th grades in the Dallas area.
