We are an electric beach wheelchair company looking for local contractor drivers to periodically deliver wheelchairs to and from hotels and our storage facility. We are seeking drivers that live somewhere in the areas between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. This is a side gig, not a gig that you can make a full time living off of, so please keep that in mind. The chairs are either being moved from storage to a hotel, from hotel to another hotel (next renter), or back to storage after a rental ends. PAY: Compensation is $50 for any chair move where the chair is delivered to a hotel/condo for rental use, and $40 anytime a chair is taken back to storage. The reason for the higher pay on a to-customer delivery is because more attention to detail is required to ensure the chair is ready for the customer, included batteries charged. The chairs are being used by customers during daylight hours (between 8am and 7pm), so we try to do most of our moving of chairs in the hours outside of this. For this reason, we are looking for drivers who are flexible to do contractor deliveries in the early morning or late evening. You will not be required to meet customers. The chairs are dropped off, and the key will be placed in the lock box attached to the wheelchair to make this a mostly contact-less process. The way it works: We take orders from customers, and we distribute the deliveries to local drivers in the area. In this case, we are looking for drivers who live close to the areas between Miami and Delray. We will text you an offer for a delivery with information such as pickup location, drop-off location, and a time frame that it can be done within (for example, "between 7pm and midnight, tomorrow"). As an independent contractor, at that time you can accept or decline the job.  You must own and drive a pickup truck or cargo van to do this gig. We can lend you an ATV ramp to use to get the chairs onto and off of your vehicle. This is a W-9 position. After initial communication with us to ensure you are a good candidate, you will be required to return to us a W-9 form and the contractor agreement signed before any delivery gigs will be offered to you. You also must be willing to submit to a background check. Payments are made via PayPal within a few days of completion of a job.
