SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury Public Schools students will be able to get free coronavirus tests during an upcoming vacation week, according to the district. The district will offer drive-thru pooled testing at Curtis Middle School on April 21 — in the middle of April break — before middle schoolers return to buildings full-time under a state-mandated April 28 deadline. The testing will be open to any student from prekindergarten to 8th grade, according to the district. Pooled testing differs from typical coronavirus tests. Instead of testing each individual student, samples get pooled together and tested all at once. Sudbury has already been offering pooled testing while school is in session. "This pooled testing initiative is part of our effort to ensure the continued safe opening of schools and develop an understanding of the prevalence of COVID-19 among our students," Superintendent Brad Crozier said in a news release. Families that want to participate in the April vacation testing event should fill out this form.
