Help us to provide a day of Self- Care, Self- Love & Sisterhood to the women of SisterHouse. This day represents their Spiritual Makeover! SISTERHOUSE opened in 1982 in response to an expressed need for short-term housing for women leaving prison. Over the years it has evolved into a home for any woman needing shelter as she begins the rebuilding of her life. SisterHouse offers a temporary environment to women seeking recovery from substance abuse. SisterHouse is a spiritual home that welcomes and serves women of diverse faith backgrounds. We require residents to participate in moments of reflection, gratitude, and mindfulness, and to remain open to spiritual experience.
