NEW MILFORD, CT — The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has closed Lovers Leap State Park due to a law enforcement investigation. DEEP officials made the announcement Thursday morning on Twitter. No further details are available. On Sunday, a 39-year-old Danbury man was found dead in the park after he became separated from his wife and children while on a hike. It is unknown if this current investigation is related to the Easter tragedy.
