Death cafe* is part of a global movement to increase awareness of death while helping people make the most of their (finite) lives. Scroll below for specifics.... Death Cafes ARE: An open, respectful, confidential, and agenda-free space where people can express their views and thoughts about death safely.Include no intentions of leading participants to any conclusion, product, or course of action.Free to attend! Any donations will go directly to supporting the venue.Drinks and snacks offered.Death Cafes are NOT: A bereavement support or grief counseling setting. Death Cafe doesn't work for people who, for whatever reason, aren't able to discuss death comfortably and openly. An opportunity to give people information about death and dying - regardless of how good or important it is. Rather we create time to discuss death without expectations. Used for community engagement, research, or consultation.Please RSVP! We're opening 7 seats with a minimum of 2 registrations needed by Monday evening to run and 2-3 facilitators. We'll mostly have confidentiality as we'll be set back a bit off the street... We won't be providing snacks this time, but a water cooler and bathroom are available and feel free to bring your own snacks!
