Last week, 33 members of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Waukee Chapter participated in the Iowa FBLA State Leadership Conference. Prior to the conference, the students competed in 2-3 events through projects, presentations, or objective tests. We are excited to share that Waukee FBLA members once again demonstrated to the state that we have an incredible Career and Technical Education program at Waukee!
All students/teams placing 1st-4th in their events automatically qualify for nationals this summer. Click here for the list of student award winners and participants in their specific events.
Student Recognition

Chapter Recognition
1st Place – Local Chapter Annual Business Report (see a copy of their Annual Business Report) 1st Place – Largest Increase in Local Chapter Membership (increased 26 members) 1st Place – Largest Percentage of Increase in Local Chapter Membership 2nd Place – Largest Chapter Membership (80 members)
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the FBLA State Leadership Conference, and to Janelle Larson, FBLA Advisor, for all of her work in supporting the students and the FBLA Waukee Chapter. What an amazing state-level accomplishment for Waukee High School and the Waukee Community School District!
