WHEATON, IL — In Wheaton, the number of coronavirus cases has increased by 100 cases in the past week, according to information from the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD). These numbers are greater than the previous week, in which Wheaton saw 84 new coronavirus cases. As of March 31, there had been 4,131 coronavirus cases reported in Wheaton. The total number of cases reported in Wheaton as of April 7 was 4,231. This reflects an overall increase of just over 2.4 percent. The previous week's increase was just over 2 percent. DCHD recently began sharing the number of probable coronavirus cases in each municipality. Whereas the graph on DCHD's website includes probable cases, using the site's search bar yields a breakdown of probable and confirmed cases. In Wheaton, there have been 253 probable coronavirus cases since March 2020, according to county health records. With probable cases included, the total case count for Wheaton is 4,484.
