Ambassador is excited to be working with one of the largest metals distributing companies in North America. This company is the largest steel distributor in eastern NC and they are looking for highly qualified and highly experienced candidates to join their team. This service center offers WF beams, merchant bars, tubing and pipe, HR sheet and plates, and different types of misc. structural products. They also offer a complete line of structural processing services. Primary Duties: Operate a torch machine to cut steel into assorted parts. Must be able to: -Read shop drawings to get dimensions for parts. -Read a tape measure to within 1/16 of an inch to ensure accuracy. -Understand computer controls, computer logic, and pressure gauges for optimal operation and feed rate of cutting torches over a variety of steel thicknesses. -Comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions. -Possess basic computer skills. -Operate an overhead crane and forklift after receiving required training and certification. -Use or be trained in the use of a grinder to debur parts if necessary. -Use or be trained in the use of a manual hand torch to cut parts if necessary. -Examine finished parts for defects and rework defective parts if necessary. -Wear all required safety equipment and follow all safety related rules and regulations as specified for the position performed. -Follow all company policies and procedures pertaining to employment with the client and specific rules, requirements, and procedures as they pertain to the specific position held. -Work overtime and on weekends if needed. -Move from one job or activity to another at the discretion of your supervisor or company management. -Exhibit a full range of motion and have good eye, hand, and body coordination; must be able to lift 40 lbs. 66/Clinton/5KJV
