Rolling Average Added COVID Cases Declines In NE Health District

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Thursday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District. With the addition of 44 COVID-19 cases, the seven-day rolling average of added cases in the Northeast Health District declined.The District added three confirmed deaths from the disease, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths increased slightly.Both Oconee and Clarke county reported slight decreases in the seven-day rolling averages of added cases.Area hospitals reported a slight increase in the number of COVID-19 patients.The Department of Public Health reports that 20.5 percent of the residents of Oconee County are vaccinated for COVID-19.In Clarke County, 14.5 percent are vaccinated.In the District as a whole, 13.5 percent of the residents are vaccinated.For details and for state comparisons, please click through to Oconee County Observations.
