Description
Press release from the University of Alaska Anchorage:
April 8, 2021
The Department of Residence Life is happy to announce that the applications for summer and fall housing are now open for students! UAA is proud to offer a high quality residential experience that is educational, social and focused on the academic success of students.
Housing for the summer sessions will remain open only to residents who meet at least one criteria for exception (i.e., enrolled in a class approved to meet on campus, inadequate access to the internet, living off campus would create a critical hardship, etc.). While Residence Life anticipates a slight easing of our COVID-19 protocols, most of the restrictions currently in place will remain for the summer.
Residence Life is excited to share that the plan for housing in the fall semester includes a lifting of most of the protocols currently in place as a response to COVID-19. Students will no longer be required to meet an exception for criteria in order to qualify to live on campus and multi-bedroom suites and apartments will likely be occupied by more than one resident. Services such as the Cama-i Room, front desks in the residence halls, lounges and kitchens will be open and operational. These plans are subject to change based on the evolving conditions of the pandemic.
