Celebrate Earth Day with Lathrup Village! A Lathrup Village tradition! We will be hosting an Earth Day/Arbor Day event on Saturday, April 24. Consider biking over to the event and taking part in the bike parade and bike decorating contest sponsored by the Lathrup Village Children's Garden. Please arrive by 9:45 to check in for the parade. After the parade, we'll have many fun activities for folks to check out. Decorate a pot and plant a sunflower to take home with Villager's Pride & Produce Community Vegetable Garden. Learn how to rent your own plot in the garden too! The Lathrup Village Nature Group will give a talk on native plants. The LV Women's Club will be on hand to laminate copies of your vaccine card. Hazardous waste collection from 10 AM - 2 PM. Following the event there will be a cleanup of Annie Lathrup Park from 12-2pm. Please RSVP for the event so we have an idea of the crowd size. Although the event is outdoors, masks are required at all times unless eating or drinking in designated areas, per MDHHS.
