We partner with brands & creative agencies across the country to design, engineer, fabricate, & execute custom environments for retail spaces, special events, & experiential brand initiatives. We rely on our skilled employees and dynamic shop to bring innovative concepts to life. We are looking for a reliable, qualified carpenter to fabricate and install a variety of structures, both in the shop and at job sites. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills along with a willingness to follow directions, take initiative, and learn new skills. We offer flexible scheduling in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Essential Functions Perform a variety of rough and finish painting work involving the cabinets, wall flats, metal parts, and variety of materials Proficient use and maintenance of all paint equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and operational worksite Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent Experience General carpentry knowledge and experience Building trade, shop experience, and/or themed entertainment background preferred Licenses and Other Requirements Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation Personal set of hand tools required on work site at all times Work in this classification is considered medium physical work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Knowledge & Abilities Working knowledge of: Tools, equipment, materials, methods, and techniques used in a carpentry setting Shop math and technical aspects applicable to the building trades Appropriate health and safety precautions and procedures, including proper lifting techniques Ability to: Perform skilled paint work in both onsite and in the shop Effectively and safely operate a variety of paint equipment and materials Understand, interpret, and communicate shop drawings, sketches, and work orders Inspect and assess the accuracy and thoroughness of work Communicate effectively both orally and in writing Travel to jobsite locations and work in diverse settings as needed Consistently report to work or job site on time. Work in a proficient, thorough, and timely manner, both independently and as part of a team Working Conditions & Physical Demands Environment Indoor and outdoor environments which are subject to changing conditions such as noise, vibrations, job hazards, and other atmospheric conditions Regular exposure to fumes, dust, odors, heights, vibrations, and loud noises Working on ladders at varying heights Driving a vehicle to conduct work Working in direct contact with project managers, shop managers, and other staff Physical Demands Work in this classification is considered medium physical work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling object(s) weighing up to 50 pounds Standing and walking for extended periods of time Reaching overhead, above the shoulders, and horizontally Occasional bending, kneeling, and crouching Climbing ladders and working from heights as necessary Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of specialized tools, equipment, and machinery Clarity of vision at varying distances to perform work assignments Verbal, auditory, and written capabilities required for effective communication The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time.
