Description

We are a homebuilder in the Boise and surrounding markets looking for an individual to join our small in-house team to handle a variety of tasks and jobs needing to be completed on each home we build. Our team all wear many hats to complete the day to day duties, and we are looking for someone with that same mentality. We build quality homes with custom touches but on a somewhat production cycle (4 to 5 months for each home's build time). We estimate that we will build between 20 and 30 homes in 2021, with our sights set on 50 homes a year, achieving that over the next couple of years. We are looking for someone to be our Project Managers go-to person in the field to get stuff done. We are looking for someone willing to do the work needed, from simpler tasks like jobsite cleanup, trash hauling, cleaning crawlspaces, and sweeping or cleaning, to potentially more skilled tasks like millwork, hanging doors to name a few. This is a Part-time position to start. 20-30 hours each week with the potential of Full-time in the near future. Attributes you possess: • Must be very organized • Must be safety-minded • Must be computer literate and able to communicate effectively. • Did we mention someone who can communicate well? • Must be a self-starter. If you don’t know what that means, you probably aren’t one. This job will require someone who doesn’t need to be micromanaged. • Possess a valid driver's license, and is comfortable driving trucks, vans, and pulling trailers. You will be autonomous and will receive information from our project manager. Construction skills are not a requirement but could be an advantage. We aren’t looking for someone to perform construction duties, but familiarity with construction methods (both an ability and a desire to do so) would be preferred. Being able to install a handle set or to install backing in a pinch is useful. If you have skills or experience that are construction related, please list that in your email. But again, the priority is jobsite cleanup duties and everything that relates to that (dust control, pressure washing, trash hauling, touch-ups, etc). Tasks you will be responsible for (these are more reoccurring tasks, but remember we are looking for someone willing to do whatever needs to get done) • Dust control • Mowing lawns on spec/model homes • Weed pulling • Digging holes/trenches • Installing signs • Pressure washing • Trash hauling and dump runs • Crawlspace cleaning • Stacking/moving building materials • Backing up a trailer safely at job sites and the dump Additional tasks may include • Millwork installation • Flooring installation • Installing interior/exterior doors This position requires a clean driving record, a valid driver's license, the ability to lift 50lbs consistently and to work safely, efficiently, and quickly. There is growth potential - the right person may need to assist in framing and construction duties as well as the duties listed above. The pay range is $15 - $20 per hour based on experience and capabilities. We will have a 90-day review period, where at the end of it, we will confirm whether this is a good fit for us, and you. We are looking for that one dynamic individual to help us continue to grow in this great market. Our home base is in Washington State with the owner coming to Boise about once a week to check on status, locate future building sites, etc. If interested, please reply to this ad and let us know your background and skills
