Must be able to start late April / May 1st. Local, rapidly growing Residential Sealcoating Company is looking to hire eager to learn individual or even one with experience that would like to become part of our sealcoating team. This is a seasonal position from April - November as we're unable to perform core services during the winter. Hours will be FLEXIBLE TO START (anywhere 15 - 40 Hours per week to start) and more as the season progresses into the warmer months (40+ Hours per week). Services are unable to be performed during inclement weather, so there's potential for days off if / when there's rain in the forecast. Rate will start @ $20.00 / hour. Job description: Performing tasks involving physical labor on private and commercial level construction projects. May operate a variety of hand held and power tools. Asphalt repair services (sawcutting > removing > raking & installing new). Cleaning / preparing sites for sealcoating, crack fill and striping. Other tasks/responsibilities will be a part of each job being assisted by a crew head. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: ● Ability to work in a team and complete daily tasks according to the work schedule. ● Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor under adverse field conditions. ● Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely. ● Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions. Ability to meet ATTENDANCE schedule with dependability and consistency. ● Ability to work evenings and weekends ● Valid driver's license with clean driving record ● Reliable Transportation ● Be prompt and on time ● Ambitious, willingness to learn, honest, hardworking, with a team mentality Responsibilities: ● Maintain a clean job site: pick up tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards. ● Clean all surfaces to be seal coated or crack-filled with various small engine tools/machines and street brooms ● Apply 400+ degree hot rubber and squeegee into cracks prior to sealing ● Applying asphalt sealer to asphalt surfaces in a precise and controlled method ● Material handling and storage. ● Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials. ● Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the crew head. Education, Training & Experience: Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work. Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions. Environmental Demands Location: Outdoors (Exposure to all elements). ● Noise Level: Usually loud at most job sites. ● Lighting Level: Exposed to natural lighting (Sun) ● Amount of movement: Standing for long periods of time and heavy/light manual labor. Need to be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, stop, reach, lift, push, and carry items for this job. ● Cleanliness/Orders: Job sites are dirty and often include smells such as tar and exhaust fumes. ● PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): Safety glasses, ear plugs, masks, gloves and hard hats will be provided for use by your crew head.
