Monument Engraver Apprentice Work for a company where you aren't just another employee, but an actual major member of the company's team! Some experience is helpful, but we will be training on the job. Applicants must be able to easily lift up to 80 lbs. on a regular basis, and must also have a current driver's license with a good driving record. We are looking for someone who can learn quickly and are willing to work overtime hours during busy times. Job Type: Full-time Pay: Paid training at $14.50 per hour. Pay to increase after training This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is: • Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous • Detail-oriented -- would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture • Likes working with their hands Qualifications and Skills: • Represent the company in a dignified manner • Treat monuments, cemeteries, and gravesites with respect • Must be able to communicate clearly and follow direction • Attention to detail is a must • Ability to use a ruler and accurately measure • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation • Must be in good physical condition and able to lift 80 lbs. Duties and Responsibilities • Read and understand production orders • Prepare granite for stencil applications and sandblasting • Proofread stencils for accuracy and report discrepancies • Sandblast monuments in both the workshop and on monuments installed in cemeteries • Clean and prepare monuments for inspection • Document all work completed with required paperwork • All other duties as assigned
