About Design Space Modular Buildings (DSMB): We are the west coast’s largest privately held mobile office and modular building dealer and contractor. We lease and sell mobile offices, modular buildings, and containers to a variety of industries, including construction, education, medical, and a wide variety of commercial and government users. Opportunity: We have an immediate opening for a Class A CDL driver based out of our Spokane, WA location for local/regional day driving. Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for the delivery and set up of mobile office trailers and storage containers. Must be able to effectively communicate with DSMB customers. Maintain contact (radio/telephone) with Management and Dispatcher. Load supplies such as blocks, steps, and other sets up material. Complete daily vehicle inspection reports, in accordance with DSMB guidelines. Daily and accurate completion of DOT Hours of Service and/or Mileage Logs if applicable. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. When not driving, will assist with the repair and maintenance of the mobile/modular office and container equipment. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Have at least 3+ years of hands-on truck/trailer driving experience. Familiar with required documentation of vehicle and trailer inspection requirements, logs, time cards, etc. Safe driving record and valid DL (Class A CDL). Must be able to pass a DOT physical or valid exemption set by DOT regulations. Meet age requirements as set by local, state, and federal entities. Ability to work independently and unsupervised. Overnight travel may be required 10% of the time and may on occasion require consecutive overnight stays. Handyman, welding, running gear maintenance experience a plus. Mobile office and/or mobile home industry experience a plus. Job Requirements, Qualifications, Physical Demands, and Performance Expectations: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Valid Class A CDL and proven Class A driving experience. Willingness and ability to set, level, and/or dismantle modular/mobile buildings using piers, pads, blocks, etc. Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, sit, kneel, and operate machinery. Ability to work independently and be dependable and unsupervised – self-starter. Safe driving record with valid driver’s license and necessary certifications to operate a truck/tractor, forklift, etc. Employees may be required to work overtime.
