We are committed to serving our Customers, Co-workers and Communities in which we live and operate. The Maintenance Mechanic will perform a wide varied of duties in the Maintenance area. Must be able to trouble shoot and repair production equipment throughout the plant. Construct, maintain, and test mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. Identify worn, damaged, or broken machine components and repairs, orders and/or replaces components as needed and be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. \ The Maintenance Mechanic will be a key team player by: • Safely use Hand Tools and meters to repair production equipment. • Performing Preventative Maintenance per P.M. sheets and manuals. • Completing work orders and other assigned work in a timely professional manner • Using measuring and diagnostic tools to test and repair production equipment. • Working with all levels of the organization, participate on teams, and work required overtime. • Planning and organizing multiple projects and or work orders. • Reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic schematics. • Developing skills to efficiently and accurately perform the repair of electrical and mechanical equipment. • Identifying parts for replacement and place orders as necessary. • Communicating pertinent job information (verbally or in writing) to your fellow co-workers. Allow necessary time before and after shift start/stop to communicate information to the previous and following shifts. • Replacing, as needed, any worn parts or tools, including screws, bolts, nuts, your own personal tools, etc. • Utilizing computer software and hardware effectively. • Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows the 6S Cost Reduction through Standardization, Waste Elimination and Housekeeping. • Working overtime when needed. • Working as a team to support our departmental and corporate goals to meet our customer expectations. Skills, Education and Certifications: • HS Diploma or equivalent experience. • 2 years of manufacturing troubleshooting in a production environment. • AAS Degree in a technically related field is a plus. • Experience using electrical meters, mechanical testers, hand tools and measuring tools, drill press, milling machines, grinders and lathes • Knowledge of Hydraulic and pneumatic, Electrical Schematics, PLC controls • Ability to work from blueprints and /or verbal instruction • Ability to troubleshoot and repair production equipment • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken • Provide own tools such as: Wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, socket sets, Allen wrenches dial indicators, calipers, micrometers and etc. Evening Shift Position: 3:30pm-11:30pm + Evening Shift Differential. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OVERTIME AND HAVE FLEXIBILITY TO WORK ALTERNATE SHIFTS AS NECESSARY.
