The Groundskeeper will landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Work typically consists of a variety of tasks; examples include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, edging, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, irrigation, sweeping of parking lots and sidewalks, snow and ice management, and sports field setup and maintenance. The Groundskeeper - Senior (irrigation) position is responsible for assigning and overseeing the work of Groundskeepers, ensuring that all of work for the shift has been completed in an acceptable manner, and assists in landscaping and maintaining assigned areas. Maintenance of the assigned areas includes keeping the grounds in clean and orderly condition. The Groundskeeper-Senior position is also responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of grounds areas and sports turf areas, as well as specific detailing of the landscape and flowerbeds.
