Highway Materials, Inc. is a producer of Construction Aggregates and Hot Mix Asphalt products in Eastern Pennsylvania, with seven locations to serve our customers. Currently we are seeking a Facilities & Grounds Assistant our team at the Plymouth Meeting Quarry. This position will: • Drive to various location to pick up parts • Perform a wide range of general labor duties at a quarry. Including but not limited to: mow grass, weedwacking, sweeping, moving materials, cleaning and maintaining quarry while adhering to all safety regulations. • Be required to keep all areas of the quarry open and clear of debris. • Maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings or fences, using hand or power tools. Requirements: • Either High School Diploma (or equivalency) AND prior relevant job experience • Valid driver’s license • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
