90’s rock lead guitar needed Jerry Cantrel.

We are a lead singer/rhythm guitar, drummer and bass player and we play mostly 90’s rock. Think Alice in Chains, STP, Tool. We are looking for a lead guitar player that can provide backing/harmonizing vocals, think Jerry Cantrel. We have been together about 9 months and I think we sound pretty decent. We had a guitar player but do to a rather long spell of inactivity on our part due to circumstances beyond our control he decided to move on. We have decided to move forward despite the setback and are now in need of a new lead guitarist. You don’t have to be a virtuoso, but we would like someone that knows their chops. Our goal is to have a mix of about 50% covers and 50% originals, we have the covers down but need to work on originals. We are a very open, collaborative group, we all had a say in the covers we play, as will you. We would be open to suggestions on our current covers based on your input, adding, or deleting current songs. The originals I would like to see more on the heavy darker melodic side of the Grunge genre, with an with influence from prog rock. We are very open to interpretation on the originals, some song writing skills would be helpful but not necessary. We all have our own professional equipment and we practice in Greenfield. We try to practice once a week. Our goal is to sharpen our skills and have fun. We would like to play some gigs eventually, but that is not our main focus.
