The Cabinet Maker is a specialized role in the cabinet refacing industry. We work exclusively with real wood refacing products, never plastic. The main responsibility of this role is to provide the highest level of cabinet making standards while maintaining a professional attitude. Job Function The position of cabinet maker is responsible for all aspects of cabinet assembly including the building, laminating, handling, and packing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion. Must have knowledge of cabinet making, assembly, and installation. Need to be able to read and build from shop drawings. Knowledge and experience with shop equipment, table saw, chop saw, routers, sanders, hand and air tools. Knowledge installing cabinet doors, drawers, hardware, cabinet moulding. Need current driver.’ license. Must have own hand tools. Need to be flexible to go to job site and work in the shop. Job Duties ● Inspection and assembly of materials and articles to specified standards ● Ability to read blueprints and drawings ● Ensure work is completed as requested by the customer, project manager or contractor and it is to their standards ● Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines ● Will practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite ● Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment ● Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or are affecting completion of the job to the appropriate person ● This role could be required to act as a “lead” periodically as designated by their manager Physical Requirements • Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. • Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment. • Position spends on average 8 hours of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing. Qualifications/Requirements ● Cabinet making experience, and / or 1+ years' experience in related field ● Excellent carpentry and hand tool skills ● Ability to use power tools (drill, jigsaw, etc.). ● Required to have knowledge of cabinet making with the ability to take accurate measurements. ● Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure ● Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices ● Ability to work within a team or independently as needed ● Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment ● Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested ● Periodic travel may be required ● Access and mobility in tight spaces ● Speak fluent English ● Be able to pass background check ● Must have your own tools and transportation Pay: $18/hour Please submit your resume and contact information for application by replying to this email.
