HIRING IMMEDIATELY! This position is seasonal temporary with Full Time hours. Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and requires being on your feet for majority of the day. Someone with creative experience a must. The Design Assistant is primarily responsible for the following tasks: Gift Sample Building Cutting foam for inserts for new baskets and sold baskets Wrapping samples and boxing them for shipment Maintaining design warehouse Preparing Gifts for Photo Styling and Fanning out products for display of all basket components on website and in catalog. Sample Preparation. Cut foam inserts/pieces using the foam-cutting machine for all presentation baskets and samples requested by customers. Cut foam for all baskets in the photo shoot. Work closely with designers on basket specs and desired height for photo shoot sample. Assist sample builder and build basket samples as requested by design and sales for presentations. Prepare and wrap samples as needed, i.e. presentations or shipment. Work with the design supervisor on sample requests. Assist sample builder and mock up individual as needed on mock –up product/ samples. Physical Demands Light to moderate lifting - Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Skills Experience styling or working with gift baskets or floral arrangements ideal. Self-starter and able to work without supervision. Must be available for mandatory overtime. Floral design experience a plus
