House Painters Wanted Experienced is great but we will train the right person. We have lots of work and are looking for painters to paint the interior and exterior of commercial and residential buildings and other surfaces. You must be reliable, reporting to the jobsite on time every day, and have your own dependable vehicle. Currently most of our jobs are in Greene & Columbia County, but we work all over Columbia, Greene, Albany, Ulster, and Rensselaer counties and you must be able to travel to each job. We try to schedule inside work for days of bad weather, but you may be required to work outside in various temps and weather conditions and there may be unpaid days off if the weather is bad. Pay ranges from $15-25/hour and is based upon experience, which will need to be proven on the first day of employment. Responsibilities Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures, setting up ladders, etc. Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by cleaning, pressure washing, scraping, filling, sanding, and priming Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions Work your full time scheduled Show up on time everyday Skills Proven experience as a painter or willingness to learn Must be able to lift 25 lbs and set up a 24' extension ladder alone Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them or a willingness to learn Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc. and no fear of heights Conscientious with attention to detail Experience in using boom lifts, paint sprayers, scaffolding, and/or leading a paint crew is a big plus Must have a good, positive attitude Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
