Seeks a qualified, professional installer of window coverings for a full time (30-40) hours a week) position. We are looking for an installer who can: - Install blinds, shades, shutters and other window treatments - Perform window treatment repairs - Receive customer payments - Maintain proper installation paperwork - Clean customer premises of any installation debris - Help organize window covering orders and installation materials in the shop - Use simple computer programs Installer Skills, Abilities, and/or Experience in working as an in-home installer - Prior general workmanship skills from any industry. Experience in working as an in-home installer is a plus - Self-directed and able to work independently and work as a valuable team member - Friendly, courteous and pleasant with all types of people - Ability to learn and handle new technology as introduced to the window covering installation industry - Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills - Communicate. Telephone, written and verbal communication skills are critical when interfacing with all levels of Budget Blinds staff and clients - Current and valid driver license - Punctual and dependable - Ability to pass a background check, clean driving record, no felonies - Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and climb up and down ladders We provide our installers with: - Paid installer training - Real time support in the field - Company van used solely for work purposes. Gas, tolls and parking expenses paid for by the company - Tools for installation and window covering modifications required for the job - Opportunities for installer trainings and industry related meetings - Possibilities for promotion and leadership - Typical working schedule ranging from 8:30-5:30pm with occasional Saturdays.
