Learn the skills needed to become an IMMEDIATE RESPONDER by learning how to Stop the Bleed! Masks, hand sanitizer provided. Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. In this class designed for the non-medically trained bystander, you will learn the skills to become an IMMEDIATE RESPONDER by learning the principles of how to stop life-threatening bleeding! You will walk out of this class knowing how to apply a tourniquet to an arm or leg as well as how to pack an open wound and apply pressure. No prior medical knowledge is required or needed. This class is FREE, FUN, and EMPOWERING FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? No age requirement What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Parking is free. There will be a short walk from the parking lot to the auditorium. No Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? No. I just want to keep the class size at 25 people The auditorium holds 200 people. Refrigerators are available on the ground floor for anyone who wishes to bring a snack or a drink. Soft drinks and water are available via vending machine (exact change only). To provide for social distancing, I am capping the attendance to 25 people. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available to all attendees.
