CRASE is designed on Avoid! Deny! Defend to provide strategy, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. With all the active shooter events happening across our nation, it only makes sense to be prepared. Sign up to receive training from trained police offers, who are passionate about what it takes to keep you safe!Law enforcement officers and agencies are frequently requested by schools, businesses, and community members for direction and presentations on what they should do if confronted with an active shooter event. Our speaker, Captain Alex Gray, has served with the Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office for over 13 years. Captain Gray began his career in law enforcement as Security Forces in the U.S. Air Force in 2004 through 2013 between active duty and reserves. There he earned the rank of Staff Sergeant after serving three tours in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Captain Gray is a trilogy graduate of FBI-LEEDA and holds a Masters in Public Safety Administration and Leadership from Arizona State University. Captain Gray focused his studies in counterterrorism and counterintelligence while studying abroad in Israel.In addition, he holds certifications as a PPCT Defensive Tactics Instructor, Krav Maga, less-lethal firearms and munitions instructor, TCOLE Firearms Instructor, O.C. Instructor, Court Security Specialist, Mental Health Officer, Correctional Emergency Response Team (CERT) Instructor, and SWAT, where he was awarded the Operators Award from Southern Methodist University-Police Department. Class will be held on the southern-most end of the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas campus (bottom left on the attached map) in the Professional Building #5 auditorium at 8194 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas 75231. Please enter at the building entrance and take a left past the elevators to enter the auditorium space. The ground level below has refrigerators, microwave, and a soft-drink vending machine (exact change only). The auditorium holds 200 people. To provide for social distancing, I am capping the attendance to 50 people. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available to all attendees.
