This workshop is for parents/caregivers who are having breastfeeding challenges and are looking for help, answers, and hope. Join Dr. Jeff and Dr. Hilary for a morning of exploring some of the issues surrounding breastfeeding, latching, milk transfer, and oral ties. They have successfully breastfed their 2 kids through ties, reflux, decreased reflexes, neck restrictions and side preferences. Not only do they have personal experience with breastfeeding but have professional experience working with other families having these same challenges and overcoming them. And if the doctors don't have all the answers, they know several other professionals and providers in the area that help with breastfeeding challenges too and will get you connected. During this workshop, we will cover a variety of topics surrounding breastfeeding and tongue/lip ties including: Only feeding on 1 sideFlat spot/headLatching issuesSlow weight gainSymptoms of tongue/lip tiesSpit up/RefluxTummy time issuesIf you are currently working with a lactation consultant, please let us know. Or even better, invite them to join us as we always love meeting other providers! We will also be providing bottled juices, coffee carafes, and açaí bowls courtesy of Root 2 Rise Juice and Coffee Bar as a snack during our workshop. Parking for the event will be kitty corner to our office, across the street from The Revery restaurant in downtown Greenwood. Parking is FREE.
