A ladies only day at the range. Learn the basics of firearm safety, handling by and shooting with NRA certified Range Safety Officers. Join us at Androscoggin Fish and Game Association on Saturday, May 22nd for our Fall Ladies Day at the Range. This is a free event for LADIES ONLY, 18 years and older. (Men will not be allowed beyond the registration area, unless they are one of the club’s prescreened volunteers or Range Safety Officers). All firing and handling of firearms will be supervised by our NRA certified Range Safety Officers, ensuring a safe and educational atmosphere for new and experienced shooters alike. All firearms, targets and ammunition are provided at the event as well as hearing and eye protection, if attendees are unable to supply their own. We will also supply light refreshments and there will be several prizes raffled off to participants of the event. -All participants must observe hand hygiene and social distancing protocols and will be required to wear face coverings, due to the COVID health and safety guidelines. If you are feeling unwell in any way, please stay home. -Check in 20 minutes before your selected session time at our registration table for a temperature check, safety briefing and run through of basic firearm and gun handling safety, and a tour of our club house and indoor range. -Female shooters of ALL experience levels are welcome. No prior training is required. -All firearms are provided by the ACFGA, therefore no outside firearms will be permitted at the event. -Due to the cost and shortages of ammunition, and a lack of grants that we would typically recieve for this event, we are asking for SUGGESTED donations of $10 - $20. Donations are NOT required for participation. -This event is for ladies only, ages 18 and older. Please bring I.D. -Please bring eye and hearing protection if you have it . (We will have a limited supply for those who do not have any.) -Please wear closed toed shoes. Pants are recommended, as well as a higher neckline shirt (crew neck). Hair should also be pulled back from your face, and a visor or ball cap will further protect you, especially if you wear prescription glasses. -Win prizes in our raffles, simply for participating! -Memberships to The Androscoggin County Fish and Game Association will be offered at the renewal rate to those who sign up on the day of the event. (This is a $20 savings. NRA membership is required to apply for membership) - All firearms, ammunition and targets will be provided, as well as refreshments. -Please do not bring any firearms with you. We will have plenty to try, and outside firearms will not be allowed on the range at this event. -Try several different calibers of handguns on our steel plate and short berm ranges. -Shoot steel plates with a variety of rifles on our 50 yard and 100yard rifle range. - Enjoy shotgun with clay fliers at our trap and 5 stand ranges. - NRA Certified Range Safety Officers will be on site with each shooter to supervise, give guidance and ensure safety. -By registering for this event, you authorize ACFGA to take and utilize pictures from Ladies Day on their website and social media accounts. If you do not wish for ACFGA to use your photo please speak with the Registration table upon arrival.
