Covid-19 responsible roller derby skills and footwork coached by Gotham Girls jammer Miss Tea Maven, hosted by Lombard Skate Skills Group. We all are missing the sport, myself included! Due to work, I'll be in the Chicago area and I would love the opportunity to coach fresh faces and interact (albeit at a minimum 6-foot distance) with other skaters! Come join me as I coach (on-skates!) for 1.5 hours of fun skills and corny jokes. SAFETY:I (Miss Tea Maven) am fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and will be wearing a mask. Skaters must maintain a minimum of 6ft between themselves and others. This includes warm-up & gear down.Skaters must wear a mask at all timesIf you must remove your mask (to take a drink for example) please make sure you are at least 6 feet from others.There is a STRICT 40 skater limit. First come, first serve.Safety gear (helmet, all pads) must be worn at all times.A mouthguard is optional (there will be NO contact drills)Your temperature will be taken before entry. Those with elevated temperatures will be kindly asked to leave. There will be a cap on viewing spectators.DETAILS:All ages and identities are welcome.All skill levels are welcome. However, it is advised that you at least have a good grasp on the basics of stopping, starting, "controlled lowering", and cross-overs.I will scale the skills by skater level (Beginner/ Intermediate/ Advanced) so you can participate within your comfort range.I'm fully aware that our collective cardio might be a little... lacking?
