Vian Borchert is an established award winning contemporary artist who has shown both internationally and nationally in many group and solo exhibitions in galleries and museums worldwide. Most recently V. Borchert's has been featured in ARTPIL in the "Artists Profile" amongst prominent world artists such as: Chantal Joffe, Ted Gahl, David Hockney, Julian Schnabel, Jenny Holzer, Gerhard Richter and other accomplished contemporary artists. V. Borchert considers her expressionist abstract artwork to be visual poems. Pictured here is Borchert's painting "Lavender Waves". The painting presents a take on calm waves depicting soft layers of lavender and blue hues. The artist aims with this painting to bring forth feelings of rejuvenation and calm upon viewing the work. Other paintings of Borchert presented by the Alessandro Berni Gallery through Artsy also encompass the multitude of pastel array hues that the artist considers as her favorite. While a number of paintings on view such as "Blue Waves", "Clouds' Reflection" and "Into The Horizon" bring forth a happy look and a thoughtful study of the sea, clouds, horizon and skies - other paintings delve more in the mystery and the depth of the ocean such as "Scattered Waves". The striking look of "Scattered Waves" presents a visual and lyrical symphony of brush strokes intermingling with somber colors to transport the viewer to an overcast day by the sea where the waves are chopped due to the climate's change and atmosphere. Some paintings presented on Artsy have been done during COVID times when the artist was sequestered in her studio. Those paintings present a longing to memorable times where life was simpler. The themes elude to a much simpler time. Such paintings offer a reminiscent look to a pre-Covid time where life was simpler and almost more innocent. The art is delivered through V. Borchert's abstract expressionist vision and style characteristic of the artist's identity.Of the abstracted seascape paintings, V. Borchert exclaims, "The beauty of the deep blue sea has always fascinated me. These paintings embody a sense of observation of the environment and the natural habitat of the sea and its marine life. The paintings depict a voyage to the sea; and taking in all the beauty and replenishment that a seaside trip leaves one with. From its healthy salt air breeze to its peach pink lavender sunsets, the big blue provides me with endless inspiration and meditation on nature's beauty and blessings."The Alessandro Berni gallery is based in NYC and Perugia, Italy.More about acclaimed artist Vian Borchert at: www.vianborchert.com
