Bassists looking for band

Meets

North Charleston SC

Description

about me: Life happened and it forced me to relocate to Charleston, SC from Virginia Beach, Virginia recently. Im 32 years old, and still trying to figure out the local scene and how I can get into it. I've played bass my entire life. I know theory, modes, etc, but I prefer to play by feel/ear as much as possible. I've been in two touring bands and my most recent was getting distro/record label contracts. I play bass mainly but I also write music on guitar and enjoy contributing as much as possible to the writing process. I can play technical (Mudvayne/Primus/Periphery/Protest the Hero/etc) but honestly, I'd rather just sit in the back and help compose the song to make it sound the best that it can; however, if it needs to be technical I'll figure something out. Finally, I'm not eager to play shows until we know our shit is amazing (even if it means writing for 2 years). ABW = always be writing. Im basically down to play anything besides pure country or pop. My last band I wrote probably half of the songs (minus lyrics). Here is a song I last wrote in my band (everything but the lyrics) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6XohOedisI Influences: I will listen to anything typically but just name a solid rock/metal/alt band and I will most likely dig them. Anything with a groove to it. -Deftones (the new album is nuts) -Them Damned Things -He is Legend -Coheed -Protest the Hero -Anything Dave Grohl touches -Unearth -Alice in Chains -Queens of the Stoneage -STP -Rage Against the Machine -Pantera and much more Equipment: Darkglass A/O head Gallien-Krueger 412 neo cab Spector NS-4 Warwick Custom Shop Thumb Bass 4 Gibson T-Bird ***if things got serious i'd be willing to help invest in in-ear monitors
