Responsible for the care of the hotel landscaping and grounds. Plants flowers, mows, pulls weeds, and maintains outside of building. Primary responsibilities Perform grounds keeping and building maintenance duties. Mow lawns Sweep walkways Cut down tree limbs Trim shrubs and pull weeds. Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed. Water plants and grass as needed and apply fertilizer. Job takes place at multiple Ashland hotels. Requires the ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing 50-100 lbs, prolonged walking or standing, and frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching on a daily basis. Requires a full range of physical motion in order to operate manual, electrically-powered and/or gasoline-powered groundskeeping equipment and machines. Requires the ability to access facilities and areas which may only be accessible by climbing stairs or by climbing ladders (e.g., for tree trimming). Must be able to move throughout assigned areas, as the work is performed primarily out-of-doors, year round. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
