BROOKFIELD, WI—A manager of a restaurant in Brookfield was charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, according to Waukesha County Circuit Court records. Police arrested 37-year-old Garrett Wootan at Brookfield's Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant on Friday and searched through his office and computer, according to a criminal complaint. If convicted, Wootan faces per charge, imprisonment of not more than 25 years. He faces 15 years in prison for the drug charge. Wootan's next court date is April 14 and a $750,000 signature bond was set. During a prostitution sting operation, Wootan discussed plans to meet up and engage in sexual activity and indicated he would pay a higher rate if a young child could be arranged, according to the complaint. The complaint said investigators found Wootan's Brookfield address and he was taken into custody at his workplace. Authorities searched Wootan's residence, his car and Cooper's Hawk, the complaint said. During the search of Wootan's residence, a portable hard drive was found, the complaint said. Police located thousands of images of children, including infants, being sexually assaulted, the complaint said. During the search of the residence, detectives found a blue twelve gallon plastic tote that contained six gallon sized bags that were full of dried mushrooms, the complaint said. Also found was a "magic Mushroom's Grower's Guide" soft cover book and forty three twenty dollar bills, the complaint said. Two syringes with a sticker saying "biological specimen fungal spores aqueous solution species Psilocybe Cubenis" were located, the complaint said. The six bags were weighed with a total weight of 1,353 grams and the substance was field tested and tested positive for Psilocin, the complaint said. Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant's corporate office released a statement, according to a WISN 12 News report. "As soon as we became aware of the conduct underlying Mr. Wootan's arrest, he was suspended pending the investigation. He is not allowed in the restaurant until further notice. Law enforcement has our full cooperation."
