OXON HILL, MD — Many locals know about the National Cheery Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C., but the National Harbor also has a celebration. The blossoms are in full bloom in Oxon Hill, and the town is ready. Artist Josue "Cortino" Martinez decorated the neighborhood with 26 oversized cherry blossom sculptures along the Potomac River. His work shines underneath the light of The Capital Wheel, which illuminates in a bright pink every night. MGM National Harbor opened a spring garden conservatory. Muse Paintbar is hosting art classes inspired by the blossoms. BrookieGirl Bath + Body Care even offers cherry blossom cosmetics.
