OXON HILL, MD — Authorities said a grand jury indicted five men on March 31, charging them with conspiring to kidnap a man they met at a Maryland casino. A press release identified these men as the suspects: Darius Lawrence Young, a 28-year-old nicknamed "Mup" from Washington, D.C.Christopher Allen Young, a 26-year-old nicknamed "40" from Washington, D.C.Anthony Erik Hebron, a 28-year-old nicknamed "Pain" from Washington, D.C.Tray David Sherman, a 26-year-old nicknamed "Racks" and "Fat Det" from Germantown, MarylandLamar Jamal Perkins, a 27-year-old nicknamed "Lou" from Washington, D.C. The incident report noted that police arrested Sherman and Christopher Young on March 31. The write-up added that officers had already arrested Darius Young on a related charge. Hebron and Perkins are still on the run, the release mentioned. Authorities explained that the kidnapping happened on Feb. 3 after the group met the victim at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill. Security video shows Hebron and Sherman leaving the casino with the victim, the U.S. Department of Justice wrote. The DOJ advised that the trio drove Sherman's vehicle to Washington, D.C., where the victim bought some cocaine. The report informed that Hebron then called Christopher Young to invite him in on the kidnapping. Christopher Young immediately called Darius Young to ask him to join as well, authorities continued. Officials shared that the group kidnapped the victim at gunpoint, beat him and threatened him to get the code to his hotel room safe. The press release stated that the Youngs held the victim near the 600 block of 46th Place SE in Washington, D.C., and Perkins served as their lookout. They indicated that he had: Blood running down the front of his face from the top of his headA cut on his mouth and eyeA broken and swollen nose The suspects all face maximum sentences of life in federal prison. Actual sentences tend to be more lenient, however. The defendants are only indicted, or charged, with a crime. They still need to have a trial to determine if they are innocent.
