More than 1.8 million Coloradans have received at least their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, according to state data. More than 1.1 million Coloradans — just under 20 percent of the state's population — are fully immunized. All Colorado residents ages 16 and older became eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine Friday; however demand continues to outpace supply, and vaccination appointments often disappear within minutes of becoming available. Still, more and more people are getting shots daily through more than 1,200 health care providers and clinics in Colorado. Everyone who wants to be vaccinated should be able to receive their first appointment by the end of May, Gov. Jared Polis said. The state's vaccination data dashboard shows which Colorado counties have the highest vaccination rates per 100,000 people: A map shows which Colorado counties have the highest vaccination rates per 100,000 people. Darker counties have higher rates; however, counties with small populations have been grouped into regions with more than 100,000 people. (CDPHE) Some metro Denver and nearby counties are showing a considerable difference in vaccination rates per 100,000 people: Broomfield: 62,028Jefferson County: 60,072Boulder County: 59,367Douglas County: 50,892Denver: 52,136Arapahoe County: 45,937Adams County: 39,401 Outside Denver's metro area, Eagle (65,133) and Summit (70,187) counties have some of the highest vaccination rates in the state.
