By Audra Streetman, CBS Denver: LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4) – Police in Longmont rescued an injured owl over the weekend. Officers Kaplan and McCarthy found the owl on the southwest side of town on Saturday. The owl had injuries to its legs and was taken to the Birds of Prey Shelter in Louisville. Officials said the bird will likely be returned to the area where it was found once it heals. Read more at CBS Denver
