Description
I hear that phrase a lot. "Have a good one." I can be in the grocery store buying something very delicious for dinner and as I'm leaving I hear, "Have a good one." I'm leaving work and as I say good bye to my co worker, I hear back, "Have a good one."
But, I'm having a good one right now. Did you miss that?
This moment has a purpose. It may not be later on when I taste that delicious dinner I've been looking forward to making. It sure isn't after I leave work, because right now I'm trying to connect to my co worker by saying goodbye. Instead I get, "Have a good one."
What's next? Imagine, you just got married, you were fully engulfed in the moment staring deeply into your spouses' eyes. You say, I do, and one of the guests tells you they are leaving so, "Have a good one."
Hello?
If I don't fully grasp this moment and appreciate it fully, how can I possibly have a good one in the next?
Let's just skip over life and jump over to the good one. How's that feel after being shut down for nearly a year? Preferably I would rather feel the full effects of now.
Now is all we have.
Not yesterday, Not tomorrow, but now, is the good one. It's your good one, and it's a great place to be. Because, it's not about where you're going to go, or what you're going to do, that has a special place in this moment too, believe it or not. Now this is the gift, it's the good one.
